Super Highway was constructed with a two-prong approach.Firstly that there should be a spacious, fast-track road just parallel to National Highway, connecting Hyderabad and other cities of the province. Secondly, it should help in promotion of residential and industrial units relieving the main city from stress caused due to over population. Gradually, it proved its worth as an important source of communication for connecting towns and villages. In due course, the National Highway Authority (NHA) took another leap forward to make it a double-road Highway facilitating public and private transport, and cutting time to almost half.

Today, the area around Super Highway is fast expanding into a modern residential hub owing to its pollution-free environment, green tracts of land and beautiful natural surroundings.
